My kids have gone to other schools around the island and they would breeze through the academics plus it was things they had already learned at Mañana. Now we moved back to Mañana and they seem to be not as bored and more challenged with there studies.plus the school does more computer base work with the kids and there is a lot of parent involvement that I notice.
My son attended this school last year. I spoke to my son and he had told me that his teacher at this school was very angry and made him feel stupid. Before he attended this school he was a good student with good grades. And this year my son is attending another school and he is getting good grades. The only year my sons hasn't shown excellence academically was when he attended this school. I don't blame the public educational system or even any of the schools staff besides my sons teacher. How is a child suppose to excel if the main authority figure doesn't believe in there students. My son got alot of scoldings and he was grounded plenty of times. And the worst part is I don't believe he was to blame. If anyone's children are in the second grade I highly suggest making consistent visits to the class room and asking plenty of questions to your child's teacher.
