The teachers at this school excel at teaching, motivating, and fairness. One thing that may hurt is that if you're absent. However, students do have a chance and are required to as stated to make up work if they are absent. It is the students responsibility for their own grade. These teachers don't give out F's for no reason. The clubs are outstanding with a wide and vivid variety. Highlands helps students and young adolescents to become their very best. That is if they are willing to work hard to it. Teachers give many opportunities for grades. If you do happen to slip, they would graciously try to help and tutor you. Needless to say, Highlands is an excellent school and program if you are willing to work hard, get help when needed, and be responsible.
I am a student here. It is great. As for Randy's post, it is really not true. I know him from elementary school, and he has always overreacted. If it is true, though, get some help. The teachers are great, and as a white kid (which is a minority here, ha) I can proudly say there is little to no racism. The teachers are fair, and you can revise for full credit after doing it (Maybe Randy's downfall. Do the work!).Go Colts!
I am white, so there is no positive bias, but I loved this place! The open campus, while looking unsafe, is actually really safe, the cafeteria people are awesome(I worked with them for free lunch and community service) and the teachers know how to get stuff done, and quickly, great school! (By the way, I was a student here for a long while, and recently) Only issue is that if you an annoying white boy you will probably get hurt or at least warned, so do not annoy anyone you do not know well, but report any bullying you see or experience.
As a student in 7th grade at highlands, I think that this school is very great as the students and staff are very caring and helpful. I enjoy my time at highlands as it is a fun place to be while still getting a quality education. The only thing that is bad is the bell schedule and uniform as it is quite perplexing to my mind and hard to remember. I love science as I can continue to work on my photosynthesis. Along with the fact that we get to read everyday it really relaxes me to be in a place that I know I am safe. I love to spend most of my time here reading and studying about subjects that I enjoy. I rate it as a 4/5 as a good intermediate school! GO COLTS!!! WOWWOWOWOWOWOW! Very perplexing which decalcifying the glands.!
as a student here I love it the teachers are so nice I loved it when they welcomed me with open arms this schools the best
